The Etherscan team launched an Ethereum Instant Messenger, a Blockscan Chat in beta. Their goal is to expand the use of decentralized technologies.
Located on the site’s homepage is an explanation of the Blockscan chat. In the words of the creators of the instant messenger. “Blockscan Chat is a messaging platform for users to simply and instantly message each other, wallet to wallet.” Users must be connected to an Ethereum wallet, and the message recipients with an Ethereum address will receive a notification through block explorer. The message received through block explorer will stay private to them.
They explained the terms of service used on the instant messenger platform. “In the event of any Force Majeure Event, breach of these terms, or any other event that would make provision of the Services commercially unreasonable for Company, we may, at our sole discretion and without liability to you, with or without prior notice, suspend your access to all or a portion of our Services.”
On another note, Ethereum users have been very excited about this new instant messenger to their trading journey. They have already spoken about the potential this new platform brings for them. Wallet-to-wallet communications, for example, might undermine NFT markets by allowing bidders to communicate directly with asset owners. You could even interact with hackers, as Bankless Ryan Sean Adams points out, which may be handy in circumstances when you’re attempting to negotiate the restoration of assets.
